Von über 100 angemeldeten Teilnehmern qualifizierten sich 63 Freerider(innen) für eines der härtesten Freeride Rennen Europas. Die wagemutigen Racer stürzten sich am Samstag, dem 26.3.2011 ganze 1.510 Höhenmeter vom Mittagskogel im Tiroler Pitztal über steiles und teils felsiges Gelände bis zum Ziel hinunter nach Mandarfen.

Zum 2. Mal fand am 24. November im Rahem des Skiopenings des Westdeutschen Skiverbandes ein Open-Air am Dorfplatz in Mandarfen statt. Bei winterlichen Temperaturen heitzte die Gruppe “Mirage” dem Publikum richtig ein. Für das leibliche Wohl sorgten die Mandarfner Wirtsleute.
